Meet Christie Whites: Hello! I’m a therapist at Olive Branch Therapy Group, and have been in practice for over ten years. I received my undergraduate degree in Family and Child Studies, with a concentration in Family Services, from Montclair State and received my graduate degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. In addition to providing therapeutic counseling, I also routinely provide supervision hours for LSW’s and LAC’s working on achieving their clinical licenses. .

What drew me to this work:

We all have challenges in our lives and at times need support addressing them. I truly believe each of us is unique and special and bring strengths that can be capitalized on. I have always felt compelled to help others along their journey in reaching their full potential. I’m here to guide and support you on this journey through active listening, encouragement, openness, acceptance, collaboration and skill building.

My style:My goal is to provide a compassionate, respectful and safe environment in order for you to explore and capitalize on your strengths to help you face life’s challenges head on. I utilize evidence-based techniques and a person-centered approach, working with you from where you are at the present time. My treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns in their lives and interpersonal relationships. I incorporate a blend of conventional and alternative approaches and determine which style of therapy will be most helpful for each client. I believe it is important to provide a nurturing and solution focused environment as a therapist. I focus on each individuals’ unique experiences and goals while providing treatment.
